Super Mechs Super Mechs

Rated 5 / 5 stars

Excellent game. I became addicted to it rather quickly and now play it every day. The bugs and glitches don't bother me because I understand the game is in beta but there are some none bug related problems that I think needs attention.

First off, The cost of items. Usually I would agree that the pricing is fair and that it makes you work hard for the items you get. However you can now buy credits with actual money. While this is a great feature and I understand that the game needs actual cash support, It is unfair that a rich 11 year old boy can suck $20 - $50 out of his fathers wallet once a day for upgrades and be a level 20 fully geared up godlike super mech with every upgrade available to his level, While the rest of us at level 20 have to lose/win countless battles in order to gain the credits needed for those upgrades, And by the time we get that many credits we would be level 25 and no longer need those upgrades, But rather need even MORE credits to buy the latest, and by the time we get enough credits for level 25 upgrades.... Etc etc. it just keeps going.

Also, The upgrades are a bit out of order. By leveling up you should be granted access to bigger and better upgrades, Which most of the upgrades are like this, However... There are some upgrades that actually deal less damage/Have less stats than its previous upgrade. Take the Cobra torso -level 21- and its following ruby torso (I think that's its name) -level 23- for example. Compare the stats of the two closely and you will see what I mean. The latter is more expensive and yet alot less valuable.

On another note, Being as there are only 3 types of ammo (Bullet, Rocket, Energy) It seems unnecessary to add torsos that have absolutely no bullet/rocket slots. I was looking at the stats of the torsos yesterday and thought to myself "Why on earth would I buy a torso that provides less defense/Energy/etc than my previous torso, PLUS has absolutely no bullet/rocket slots?" That would mean that over half of the guns available for purchase would be unusable. perhaps you could edit the "no bullet/rocket slot" torsos to only take out one of the two. Maybe no bullets or no rockets depending on the type of torso, But never empty slots on both types.

Other than that, I only see minor things that need tweaking. and being as its in beta everyone should understand that it takes time to fix issues and add in more content. I am by no means complaining about the game, I'm only reviewing the errors of the beta version and I am in no way saying the the final outcome of the game is bad. This is by far one of the best browser based games I have ever played and I can't wait to see the outcome of its beauty and glory once it is finished. Of course I will make a new account by then because due to the bugs as of now I have lost countless battles due to the screen freezing :P But I don't mind.

This game is still worth the full 5 stars. Congrats on making something so epic and addictive. I can't wait to see what you do with it in the future.

PS. the game needs a chat system XD

Thank you very much.
We will attend to all the issues you have mentioned.
As for the purchasing of credits and other virtual goods, please understand that this game is free while its deveopment and maintenance are not (to say the least).
A player wont be able to buy an online ranking. But as for buying credits, items, mechs and levels, these are virtual goods we will enable. :)

Urhh, I was about an hour into the game when I got glitched into a tree O_o.

Anyways the animation was pretty fun looking. And the game overall was a nice little boredom cure. However the game was quite simple and lacked quite alot of stuff that could have went into it easily. But really my only problem with the game was....Getting stuck into a damn tree -_-

Very fun game indeed. I've beat it a hand full of times over the past year and i'm sure I will continue to do so in the future.

I love the art style and animation. I particularly like how everything moves to the beat. The only problem I really have is the controls are a little bit slippery, But than again that makes it a little bit more Challenging so I can live with that. And although the game itself is quite fun, the music used made the game what it is.

Keep up the good work.

Its a little too slow, Even on FF. Plus it is way too easy to fill the entire board with towers as they are very cheap. Perhaps it would have been better if the price of towers went up after each build? Either that or you should have made the enemies give you less money. Also the game lacked difficulty, Even on *Hellish* and to top it off the game gets very redundant and old as there are very few enemy types and even less towers to choose from.

The style was good and the animations ran smoothly. I also like the song that plays in the background. Over all the game was rather fun at first and it had great Potential to be quite awesome. Maybe try another one similar but with upgrades and more enemy types. Add a little challenge to it as well.

Slightly fun, However it would have been much better if the patterns were random. I've refreshed the game a few times to check and its always the same pattern over and over. Make one that isn't completely predictable and see your score rise.
